Alpha Courses
The Alpha course is for non-churchgoers and churchgoers seeking answers. Each course is open to everyone who would like to attend. Alpha attracts a wide range of guests of different ages, backgrounds or viewpoints. In the UK alone, over 7000 churches run the Alpha course.

Guests attend Alpha for various reasons - some wanting to investigate if God exists, others are concerned about what happens after death. Some have certain questions they would like to discuss, others want to learn about the Christian faith or to explore the meaning of life.

Alpha courses are based around small groups, hosted by a leader, whose role is to facilitate and encourage discussion. The course is held over 10 weeks, once a week, usually in the evening and lasting about 2 hours. Each session begins with a meal or refreshments and a chance to get to know the group. Then there is a short talk on that weeks subject, followed by a discussion in your small group, where all are welcome to contribute.

The emphasis is on exploration and discovery in an informal relaxed enviroment.
